One of the lesser explored areas of India, the region is renowned for their interesting cuisine, an experience in itself.The food of Northeastern people are very simple. They take what is locally available and turn them into simple and tasty meals with minimal use of oils and spices or even salt.

Hot, pungent, aromatic and healthy, are adjectives that can be used to describe a meal from the Northeast.
